: Today's music can't live up to older Music's standards, like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC

As i've gotten older, my music taste has changed alot. I mean, I truely do love music in general and I am open to a bit of everything. But I am not a fan of what I hear on the radio these days. Yeah some of it is catchy and I can listen to it when I go out dancing or in the car with friends, but the music itself, the instruments, the quality can't live up to bands like Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, U2, the Beatles, and many more. It's just kind of dissapointing how there's not really one band that can be as good as music back then. Times have changed and i wonder when really good music will be re-born once again.

Although i agree with you, your defintion of "good music" might be different from that of another person. You might think AC/DC, Tom Petty, etc., produced the best music out there, but some one else might think Lil Wayne or Drake is the greatest thing out there. Its all up to that persons opinion. Most of the music these days has no background or story to it, its just simply made to produce money. Artists these days (in my opinion) could care less if someone likes the music or not because their still getting paid for it..

This is only my opinion.. but i do believe "good" music is decided by your own individual taste.  I do feel that the older music back in the day had a little more meaning to it.  I think the artists weren't only out there for the money or the fame.  They really loved what they did/do and that's why they were musicians.  I do believe that there are a lot of artist that do it just to see how many big hits they can make, how they can make the most money and be most famous.  There still are artist though that do still live for their music not for all of that.  There are still musicians that admire the music and talent of the older artist and still try an incorporate their styles in their music.  Im sure that style will come back at some point in maybe a modified way just like a lot of things come back.

I have to agree, music now a days isn't very good in my opinion.  I really couldn't even tell you modern artists except of those that are so mainstream, that you would have to be a hermit to not know about them.  The only way I will listen to the radio is if i forget my phone at home which contains my self-made playlist from the music i have on my computer.

Hmhhh, I think I can say I feel a little bit of both. Now a days we have so many ways to perfect the sound of someones voice, it really makes you second guess if they have talent or not? Who doesn't lip sing? Most artists hardly play instruments. Then again this is only my opinion.

When I listen to music on the radio i am extremely disappointed. The majority of the rap songs take clips out of classic songs from years ago. I feel like the rap industry should be more original and they should stop using other songs in order to become popular. Those song only become popular because people already know the songs that they use. For example, Jay Z using Kashmire by Led Zeppelin. COME UP WITH YOUR OWN RIFF! Stop taking other musician's credit! Be creative and use your heart, you'll be able to make good music... hopefully.
